September 23rd, 2011 Attack weekend for Thomas Biagi at mugello

Weekend d'attacco per Thomas Biagi al Mugello

The long summer break being over, the test scheduled for this afternoon at 17 (local time, GMT+2) will officially open at Mugello the penultimate round of the Superstars Series 2011, valid both for the Italian and International Series.

With 86 points still to be awarded, the reigning champion Thomas Biagi approaches the season finale with the chance of defending the two titles obtained in 2010: in the tricolored series the BMW Team Italy driver is currently third with 67 points, 15 shy of Luigi Ferrara (Mercedes). The situation in the International series is slightly more complicated as Biagi is third at 110 points, but with a gap of 36 points to the leader.

As always a particular support during the weekend will be given by the Official Fans Club that in the occasion will be sided by the Ruote Classiche club Prato.

Thomas Biagi:
“After the European exits we come back to Italy in a stunning setting like Mugello where I have the memory of my first victory in Formula 3. My position in the classification is the same in the Italian and International series, even if the gaps change as well as brands and drivers fighting for the title. I will get on track motivated to push to the limit to get the most out of my M3 BMW that in this occasion will not have any sportive ballast on board and will be 20kg lighter due to the revision of the balance of performance”.
