From there onwards Biagi will reach a further records! Till standing in the GT World Championship: the 5 consecutive success record and the Title of FIA GT WORLD CHAMPION.

The Italian driver will achieve a fantastic 2nd place, straight into his first race in the “States”, at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

2005 FIA GT Championship

After two years of successful result driving a Ferrari, Thomas come back in the FIA GT Championship signing an agreement with the strong Team Vitaphone to drive the most sphere car: the Maserati MC12. He finish 4th in overall standing after fighting for the lead of the Championship until the last race, with 6 podium and two Victories; three 3rd place and one 2nd place. Very important satisfaction for the Italian driver that help Maserati to win the constructor Championship and Vitaphone to win the Team Championship.

2006

the year of the reconfirmation in Maserati. Two wins and 6 podiums repay the trust in Thomas by all the man of the big Modena's Team.

2007 - World Champion for the second time

Thomas follows the excellent trend - being the pilot with the higher score in last 6 races of 2006 season - and he is again re-confirmed for the third following year in Vitaphone Team. Thomas deserved strong belief hitting the Pilot World Championship - his second in FIA GT carreer over 4 presences - and strongly contributing in making Maserati gaining Costructor Title. The "graduation" arrives with the last race, third in Zolder, after a nervous race where the Pilot from Bologna won over four competitors, with a strong behaviour only like “prof” Lauda could. A demanding season, with two wins (Silversone and Oschersleben), that saw Thomas heading the ranks since second race. The results are also second time "Autosprind Golden Helmet" and FIA Trophy, both handed over during the traditional Sporting ceremony in Montecarlo.

2008 – Another Great Challenge

Our flagship pilot has been called up by Amato Ferrari, who offered him driving Ferrari F430 for AF Corse Team, as title-holder in FIA GT, thanks to 9 races won on 10. The strong belief of Thomas in the team, Ferrari "recall" and the will to be again at a stake are all important reasons for choosing in GT2.
It's time for new challenges and above all new records for the pilot able to win two Championships with two different brands in recent past of global Gran Turismo, that is not easy!
The switchover from GT1 to GT2 has been as much demanding as high the competitiveness level of the Championship and pilots is. In the season that Thomas expected to be “apprenticeship”, his team AF Corse got the World Champion Title for the team and he confirms 4th in the ranking, just before prestigious names, thanks to the 4 podiums. Remarkable pole position during the SPA 24 Hours.
